Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo design for a new company based in Johannesburg, South Africa called "ByConnect Data". We are a private mobile data network selling data to subscribers. Our launch product is 1 data package of 3GB day time and 3 GB night time data. We also have a recruiter program where subscribers get paid 1% of each top up when they or their recruits top up their data. We would like to see the attached colours (green and a purple/pink) in the logo (See attached JPEG). The final design should communicate reliable connectivity, fast speed and opportunity to make money.

Our target market is conscious of competing services in the market from other data service providers, has probably tried and tested all of them and is looking to settle with a data network that is reliable, honest and delivers on its promises even if this means at a premium cost. Age, location and sex are varied but we are looking at primarily tech savvy men, women, children and youth aged between 4 – 50 with household incomes of 95K per year. This segment is “ technologically competent”, continuously evolving and trying to keep up with the technological curve. They are looking for a network that will support all their data needs “fast speed”, “reliable connectivity”, “affordable prices”, “4G and LTE capability” are all words they relate to. At the same time, they buy data expecting to stay connected anywhere anytime. They won't switch providers just because the advert says so but more by word of mouth. They have strong opinions and feelings about brands that have failed them in the past and will tell others of these experiences to warn them off a product.

• Overall we would like that the visual elements are easy on the eye. The elements must be able to transcend time and fads. The logo must not also be dense and cluttered so that it will work well on most marketing collateral. Design must not be too simplistic but MEMORABLE. The logo must be able to convey what our product is about without any additional wording i.e a slogan. There must be a good balance between the graphic and colour. The design must have a balance between feminine and masculine form given that our colours appeal to both sexes and one shouldn't be dominant over the other.

• We would also like to see some interplay between the white spaces of the logo to further reinforce our corporate image and bring out the psychology of our brand.
