Brief de Design de Logo

I need a new logo design for our company JPoint.
JPoint is a company with high qualified Java Software Developers / Architects.
The company colors we use are: dark grey (anthracite), green and black. These colors can be used in the logo, but the logo must also be nice in one color, e.g. totally white or black, since we must be able to be print on different background colors.
Quality, Craftmenship, Passion and Fun are our main values.
The name JPoint must be part of the logo and the subtitle will be "Java to the point". Attached you find our current logo and a first attempt for a new logo, but please be creative, something totally different is fine with me.
Besides de logo itself I would also like to have some kind of short logo, icon or symbol (I'm not sure how you call it), but something like the JP of de attached new logo.
