Brief de Design Wordpress

http://www.ImpactPR.co.nz is moving from DotNetNuke to wordpress

Impact PR is a leading New Zealand consumer brands public relations and advertising agency.
Our marketing agency represents some of the worlds most recognisable brands as well as some small independent businesses and everything in between.
Our DNN current site has served us well for 6+ years but we are now wanting to move to wordpress.

We are looking for a new look for our website which will be either a 2013 facelift keeping existing colour scheme rather than a radical new design
Our target market is marketing managers and brand owners familiar with design and marketing elements.
First and foremost the site must be functional from an SEO and loading speed point of view. To assist this we want to retain the text content.
Secondly we have historically had only pointers to other pages on our site but we want to incorporate more of the highlights of our services and our portfolio with the addition of some 'sample boxes' such as in this template: http://themeforest.net/item/rolling-clean-business-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/4109982

Wordpress offers an easier interface for uploading news items which we do daily and also take advantage of the plugins for seo. We are looking to redesign the look of the site while keeping all the existing text content.

Logo – also needs refreshing. Something corporate but not staid. Modern and clean.

Existing pages
- We want a fresh new clean look while retaining the orange and gray colours. white space is good. modern fonts are good.
- Social media : we want to focus on Google Plus primarily but also facebook and twitter. We suggest a funky design with the social media logos. Social media logos on all pages.
- Add New page: client coverage. A page to showcase new client coverage. Could be print, links to online video, mepgs, etc. Perhaps as a blog?
- Add New page: Advertising (as a service).

Home page. Perhaps a larger image existing image can be used or something new that says Stand out from the crowd (but not in a clichéd way). perhaps 3-4 main images could be used which rotate? We want to use stunning image(s) on the site.
Retain existing body of text somewhere on page.

an alternative idea might be to look at images which relate to news. and use the phrase "journalists reaching journalists"

Add Small ‘boxes’ on home page – teasers for content inside the site:
- Our clients logo box. Perhaps use a mouse over to ‘roll’ logos from homepage? Plus link to our clients page. http://www.impactpr.co.nz/OurClients/CurrentClients.aspx
- Our services
- Quotes about us. Show an image of Unlimited magazine with quote about us
- Advertising box: Featured project (as embedded youtube clip and link case study)
- Contact us page – refresh look simple details only.

Client News (blog) page:

Image(s) to top right rather than bottom.
Google Plus like one and share as first icon. Also facebook, twitter share and RSS. (moving icons which scroll down as reader moves down?)
