Doit avoir
- The design factors are:
1. Tangible - associated in some way with the world of touch
2. Fun (no anthropomorphics please)
3. Compact - must be able to fit onto a small screen, be prominent, but not consume much space. The reason for this, is that the logo will be displayed on applications the company builds for their customers - if it is too large then their customers will likely object to it's being displayed on their apps.
4. Focus on technology - customer is a software development house
5. The final artwork file must be in vector format and contain appropriate alpha transparency, so that the logo can be displayed on any color/texture background and not look out of place.
PROPSED CONCEPT - PLEASE DELIVER ON THIS VISION
The proposed concept centres around a droplet of water.
The 'fill' of the droplet would appear as if it were atop an LCD screen, where the sub-pixels (red/green/blue) are magnified in a 'fish-eye' manner (see attached picture).
Note: the 'sub-pixel background' should probably not extend outside the water droplet - as this would make it difficult to incorporate the logo on to different backgrounds.
Bien d'avoir
Research the different sub-pixel configurations that are common across digital displays (i.e. delta configuration).
The effect would be, that when the logo was displayed on a mobile device - it would imply the effect of an actual splash of water on the user's screen - hence achieving the goal of 'tangibility'.
Animation sequence
- Because the logo will primarily be displayed on mobile app splash screens - an animation will help to draw the eye.
