Brief de Design de Carte

Brief:

I am looking for a designer to design a whole deck of cards from the ground up. I would like both the front and back designed for the deck, and would like the desk to include all the standard cards including jokers. I would like to make each card as unique as possible, so including original designs and artwork for the non-face cards as well.

I would like these cards to be poker size (63mm x 88mm, 2.5" x 3.5") or B8 size according to ISO 216) and I’ve attached a template that should be followed for the sizing.

No real limit on the design so be as creative as you can!

Design Details

Color Mode: RGB or CYMK for color images, Grayscale for black and white

File types: JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF

Image resolution: Minimum 300 dpi

Bleeding: Allow 1/8" (approx 36 pixels based on a 300dpi image) for bleeding and a further 1/8" for safe area margin inside each side

EDIT: Because this project requires a lot of design work I am fine for the submissions to be limited to 3 or 4 cards that would demonstrate the overall direction that you are taking. Once I have chosen the designs we can continue refining them and adding the rest of the deck. I would also like a box for the cards to be designed and can provide a template after I have chosen the designers. Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions!

EDIT2: I realize this project is a lot of work and so I have taken the amounts that I had for 2nd and 3rd place and increased the reward for 1st place. I am still interested in selecting multiple designs, but because this project is being done on a committed payment basis I wanted to ensure that I was only obligated to select one design. However, if there are multiple designs that I am interested in, I will award the design work to an additional 1-3 designers (to a maximum of 4 total) on the same terms as 1st place. i.e. all designers selected will be paid the same amount. Adult card players who appreciate good design (i.e. the designs should not be cartoon-like or targeted at children). These are going to be premium cards printed on the best quality paper etc so I would like the design to reflect this.

• I will leave the design idea up to you but I like the look of really old playing cards (think of a deck of medieval playing cards for example). I also like the art deco kind of aesthetic. On the complete opposite side of the spectrum a very modern looking, minimalist design is also appealing.
• These are just a few ideas but as I said I am really open to anything. It just needs to be a bold, original design.
