Hi All, I wanted to provide a bit more clarity for you on the Iceberg process infographic. We are team strategy facilitators. We facilitate corporate team strategy days that usually run for 1 or 2 days. We call our process a collaborative strategy process, because we seeking input and contribution from our clients staff, customers and clients in the weeks ahead of the actual facilitated strategy day. We believe this is the best way to develop a winning strategy is to talk, engage and generate insight from the people you deliver value to. Most companies (and teams) think that running a successful team strategy day (or workshop) is about getting their team into a room for the workshop and brainstorming ideas. It''s not. In fact the workshop happens toward the process and there are some key steps that need to happen well before the team ever gets into the room - this is what we are trying to portray in the infographic. We describe the process as being like an iceberg - meaning that the team strategy day (workshop) is really only the the ''tip of the iceberg'' and most of the work is done by talking to leaders, staff and clients well before the teams gets together in a room for the strategy day workshop. The pre-workshop steps are often or never undertaken. We describe the steps before the workshop as being like that part of an iceberg that''s ''below the water'' because they''re the necessary steps that the workshop attendees never see but they makes up the majority of the work (Only 1/10th of an iceberg is above the water http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iceberg - See and read the overview section) I hope this helps.
