We need a logo design that will be used for our signage, marketing materials, bags, etc. for a new dance store opening up in Newnan, Georgia on a historical, mainstreet square. (Think quaint, small town). The name of the store is Grit & Grace. We will offer upscale but economically priced dance apparel (ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary) as well as pilates wear, gymnastics wear...."studio to street" wear.
The name Grit & Grace serves many purposes, however, it says "we get who a dancer is." Dancers...from all genres put in many, many hours and years of practice. They are athletes. They are strong. They have unsurmountable perseverance and determination. They have Grit. Yet, what they execute is beauty and class. Effortless movements. Grace.
The interior of our store will be indicative of our name with the use of classical, french lighting fused with modern, steel fixtures. Soft fabrics (grey velvet) immersed with wood pieces. We will utilize hues of grays and white with the walls. Black or galvanized steel fixtures with dark wood shelves. Otherwise, we do not have a color in mind for the logo. The signage will be a hanging blade sign. A vinyl image on the door and on a wall framed. Printed in black on bag tags as well as kraft paper bags. Obviously, the logo will be used for social media purposes.
Our vision is to have the logo have the word "Grit" in a bold, slender manner with all caps but the the i in lower case such as GRiT. The "and" sign neutral but connecting it to the word "grace" which will be in lower case letters, in a classical scroll look. Ideally, the hook of the "g" and the "e" in the word grace would have a ribbony look to it as to replicate the ribbons on pointe shoes...but not so much where it over powers the logo. One single line or stacked. We are not interested in other graphics or dance symbols. Text only but with a good flow to it. Would also need to add the words: dance, gymnastics, active essentials to the logo. Thinking of those words circling the Grit & Grace wording with an unusual symbol or separator each of the words "dance, gymnastics, active" essentials. We need the word "essentials" to legible and focused as it describes what we sell.
Would also be interested in adding a tagline that would say "Studio to Street Wear" or "Studio to Street Essentials" or if one has another suggestion, we are open to ideas.

Doit avoir

Bien d'avoir
- See project description. Want to combine a circle around the font to incorporate the "grit" aspect with the "grace" aspect. Want the ampersand to be big and connect with the font. Colors can be a light turquoise (or light teal or seafoam color) or a dark yellow with gray. GRiT should be a narrowly spaced sans serif, bold font. Grace should be all lower case with a long scrolly ribbon effect coming from the letter g and e. Dance, Gymnastics, and Active should be around the top part of the circle, all lower case in sans serif font. ESSENTIALS all capitals, narrowly spaced at the bottom of the circle. I have seen some circles that have a paint brush textured look with what may be barbed wire...would like to incorporate that some how. See pictures attached in the "Brief" section of the profile.
Ne doit pas comporter
- pictures of dancers, clip art like images, no pink or animal print.
