Brief de Design de Logo

We are looking to design a final logo. I have attached the "base" design but want a little more flare/design. We build houses in the Texas Hill country. We are looking for two designs one full logo and one letter logo. The full logo is supposed to be a texas star with a rope as the circle around it. We want the DS to look like a branding iron - we hate the current font so feel free to take it and run. Our tag line is "The New Brand of Texas". We want this in full color and a black and white. The other logo is just the DS as a branding iron lettering to put on t-shirts etc I have attached some inspiration that may help.
