Brief de Print Design

I need a logo that I can then send to Vistaprint for cards, use at home on my own printer and probably send to other printers in the future. I would want it on Adobe.

Feature water, cottage and or cupola into the design.

I have a home (VRBO # 618221) that I am just beginning to rent. But I want to put signage up around the house, print some letterhead and envelopes or notepads, and business cards using Vistaprint or my own mac.

I want the logo to say, simply, Bluewaters Cottage. We are on a lake in Georgia, so a reference to water would not be innapropriate. Please look at the home on VRBO to get an idea of it, and my style. While it has a cottage look, the home actually sleeps 22 and is a mix of cottage, and clean relaxed elegance.

I would like the logo to represent the feeling of the cottage, water, and evoke the feelings of casual elegance, clean white lines, the tasteful touches of blue throughout the house and a welcoming feel. Not too much to ask, huh? I want the logo in blue and white. When choosing the blue color, while i want it to speak "stylish", I would also like it to be a young, fresh and current color:).

If making an illustration of the cottage, please refer to the VRBO site referenced above. There is NOT a northwoods cottage with fireplaces. It is not in the woods. This is a USA Southern cottage on a lake. Everyone comes here for SUMMER vacations. The imagery should reflect cool, lake and the colors of blue and white. the house does have a blue cupola over the porte de cochere which may provide architectural inspiration. The home while "cottage" looking with shake siding, exposed beams and tongue and groove ceilings is also large and has a relaxed elegance. There are french doors that walk out of the mail living area---lots of them.

We are trying to appeal to women with money in the 40-60 age range who are looking for a place to bring their extended families. They are drawn to the loveliness of the home and the logo should reinforce this. Looking at the VRBO site will be VERY helpful to you to capture the feel of the place and my sense of style. Men also buy, so the logo cannot be too feminine.

I like script font in the logo if possible, but I want the font to be young and stylish, not too traditional or fancy or old. Or, a mix of script and print would work well. A stylized cottage, wave or rectangular cupola would also be very fitting in the logo.
