What does the lock symbol mean next to jobs?

If a project in job list has a lock icon next to it, this means the project is a private project.

A private project has the following characteristics:

  • designers must be logged in to view descriptions of what the project is about
  • project details become hidden once the project has closed
  • private projects are not exposed to general visitors of the site that are not logged in
  • private projects can not be found on external search engines such as Google.

Once you are logged in as a designer, you should have no trouble in submitting to these projects as they are run just like a normal project. Please note that you will not be able to include any of your designs submitted to a private project in your portfolio.
