Graphic Design Project

I have an existing vector logo, rather simple text with an emblem. I am looking to place it on a black background. I am looking for it to look as if it was stamped into that black background. The vector image can be multiple shades of black & gray. What ever it takes to look as if it was embossed or stamped. I work with a PC and am Corel based, version X3. I have to be able to move this final image or do multiples of it on this black background. I am also open to other suggestions. For instance, debossed vs imbossed.
