Brief de Design de Logo

Please note: the main focus is placed on the logo design and the business card requirements are quite simple.

We need a logo design & business card for a professional wedding & portrait photography business. We are looking for a timeless & romantic practical logo and business card. We want our logo design to:

- be beautiful, elegant, classy
- romantic (please NO hearts,rainbows, doves, cliches)
- have a subtle antique look (possibly conveyed through either the font OR the firefly feature)

We would like to see designs that mainly use classic black and whites (grayscale).
We would like a WHITE background with black or grey text (if colour HAS to be used it is OK but it needs to be very subtle).

We are interested in something that incorporates the romance of 'fireflies'.

Concepts:

- they leave a little trail and write in the sky: this could turn into the business name
- elegant font with illustration such as the intricate and fine detail of the wings - no body need be included
- we are happy for it to be abstract

Fireflies are NOT the most beautiful creatures when you look at their bodies, legs and heads close up however the challenge is the 'make' them beautiful through your interpretation.

We are looking for a beautiful classy font that you would expect to see on a wedding invitation. We are looking for a 'subtle' detail that compliments the name 'firefly images'. It could be that the font has flowing lines that fade off, OR it could be that there is a very well illustrated wing showing intricate and beautiful detail that somehow resembles filigree.

We like fine lines especially in the illustration.

Whatever your interpretation it needs to be BEAUTIFUL. Something you or your girlfriend or wife would look at and say 'Wow! That is beautiful.'

Preferences are to incorporate the firefly into the logo wording itself i.e. either as a letter in the writing of Firefly Images; OR as a firefly trail either going into or away from the text, OR as a feature in between the two words.

We are also open to other ways to incorporate a firefly into the logo. However, the firefly is to look fine and dainty...and beautiful. Not like a fly.

Flowing script and fine lines are preferable - but must be easy to read. Abstract concepts are welcome.

Firefly ideas (please note these are simply ideas and I would prefer if you could come up with your own unique and abstract concepts):

firefly wings incorporated into writing, or as part of a letter

firefly trail writes 'firefly images' with firefly at end of trail

The business card is to further compliment the logo design by simply extending on the original design brief. Preferences here are to have the logo only on the front and essential details on the back.
