Brief de Design de Logo

We need a logo for our family custom car and truck repair shop. We are a small parttime garage that sells parts and builds cutsom cars and trucks for friends and family in the midwest. We want something that would look good as a sign on the garage or a sticker placed on a vehicle. We are very open to ideas and the direction is very wide open. Thoughts have ranged to a cartoon Uncle Bub character with a hotrod or truck or just a very bold icon like logo. Uncle bub is the big bald flannel wearing guy in the picture. The actual cars in pictures are just a representation of what we build. Getting to the 300 word minimum here is a little more difficult than expected. Would love to see some initial rough designs within the first few days. Wish all of the designers luck and may the best man or woman win. Still haven't hit 300 words and this is getting ridiculous.
