Brief de Design de Logo

We are a large format graphic company called Graphix Solutions. The company has been in business for 45 years and we are looking to rebrand ourselves. Our current logo we have had for 10 years and we want a change. We specialize in facility branding with concentration on corporate interiors. Designing and producing and installing Creative Workspaces. We have 2 companies we are trying to blend together (www.graphixsolutions.com / burstvisuals.com) with a similar look and feel with this rebrand. The two companies will be separate and have there own websites but will cross over and work together so the look and feel related and similar. Graphix Solutions is the parent company that handles all the production, and burst visuals is the sales/design and concept side. The Graphix Solutions current website is stale and will be getting a makeover, the burst visuals website is more current to the type of work we do today. Things to consider with designs will be the following: We have a designer we are working with, but can't seem to nail a logo that speaks to us.

Like: T&A, fun, playful, juicy
Dislike: only when they go back to the burger shot

Like: fun, major brand loyalty, sleek & clean, way they present & market their team, very identifiable (logo, colors, graphic package)

3. Tinkering Monkey
Like: creative, mom & pop feel, feels intimate, playful, don’t take themselves too seriously, you almost want to give them a job to help them
Dislike: one-dimensional how they market themselves, same shit being recycled, a one trick pony

Like: great combination of art and function, like how they tell the story of the designer so buy into the story before you even buy the product, feels authentic

- totally open on the tag line front - nothing wrong with existing ones but we give you creative license

Big issue we are struggling with is how to incorporate the two brands and tell a story that links the two whether that be through the logo, the branding, the website etc….
We are thinking we want to define Burst as part of the Graphix machine - thinking Burst as design & project management arm with Graphix being the production arm.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We are extending the deadline due to this being a super busy time of year for us. Its been a struggle to get the appropriate people to view the designs and provide direction. Extending this time frame will help clarify things.

  • logo must have synergy with each other. The two companies we are trying to put together need to feel like one even though they are independent. Inside he project description is some feedback about us that could prove useful.

  • I really like the negative space logo ideas we have seen. They are very clever, may take a second to understand, but leave an impression. I would like to see some ideas in that vein. Im open to ideas naturally that is why we are trying design crowd. I had seen some nice designs using lightbulbs.
